Berlin 1936

The darkest part of Germany's Olympic dark side was 1936, when the IOC tarnished its reputation by deciding that the Olympic spirit was not in any way sullied by being associated with the Third Reich. Gypsies were among the groups moved to special camps to "clean up" Berlin ahead of the Games.
